my approach

Active and intentional- I’m not a surface-level therapist. I believe that there are pivotal moments in life that contribute to the way my clients feel, think, and behave. I will work with you to get to the SOURCE of the problem to ensure that we’re healing the inner wounds.

Solution-oriented- my mantra is “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” Therapy with me is not just about talking about your problems, but also finding healthy solutions to them.

Collaborative- I recognize that I don’t know you better than you know yourself, so I’m committed to collaborating with you so that we both play active roles in co-creating meaningful change.

Anti-oppressive and decolonized- I believe that mental health, just like everything in life, is political and that it would be a disservice to you to ignore that. I recognize that systemic oppression, discrimination, and colonial legacies impact individuals’ lives in significant ways, shaping their experiences of identity, power, and belonging.

Educational- I believe an informed woman is an empowered woman. My goal is to give you all the knowledge, tools, and insight you need to change and sustain your life for the better.

why you can trust me

I’ve been my ideal client before. I was once a young woman who felt lost, depressed, anxious, and struggled with pleasing others at the expense of my health and happiness. I’ve experienced childhood trauma and learned how to heal my inner child with boundaries, self-advocacy, and a LOT of time. I know what it’s like to need therapy, medication, and even time off from work to rest and heal. I’m not a typical therapist. Most therapists are trained to be robotic, unnatural, and neutral in session. I will always be my authentic self and can promise that you will feel like you’re talking to a real person. I will also acknowledge the role that the systems of oppression contribute to your life so that you feel less “crazy” or “lazy.” If you’re looking for a down-to-Earth, quality millennial therapist, I’m your girl!

besides being a therapist

-I’m a human who has a life outside of work and goes through things, too!

-I’m a self-proclaimed certified plant lady. The green thumb is thumbing!

-I’m happily married to the perfect man for me and a dog mom to our Shihpoo, Lola.

-I’m happiest when I’m near a pool, dancing to my favorite songs, and traveling.

-I’m a Hip Hop head and a Beyonce stan.
